Your existing 1,000 kVA transformer with 4.5 % impedance is getting overloaded and you will add in parallel a 2,000 kVA transformer but with 6.0% impedance to remove the overloading situation. Since new transformer impedance is not the same impedance with existing transformer, you need to do derating of its kVA rating. Calculate the new rating of 2000 kVA when connected in parallel?

The two parallel transformer to operate properly must obey the electrical properties requirements which is both transformer must have approximately equal percent (%) impedance and in order to share load equally provided T2 will not exceed 1,500 kVA loading.
