Make your life successful

.

“Jehovah was with Joseph . . . , making everything that he did successful.”—GEN. 39:2, 3.
What is Joseph's secret of success? He works on something. He is not lazy, he started to learn little by little and he ask his God Jehovah to bless the work of his hands and mind. -- source: JW.ORG

Convince yourself that if you started to learn and work even how small it is, this single act of work can lead to many wonderful things, especially if you ask God to bless your work.

Did you know that there is an intelligent planner, designer, artist, and creator. Look around you who plan, design, and create plants, animals, and life on earth? Do you agree that there must be an intelligent planner, designer, artist, and creator of this wonderful earth and universe? Genesis 1:1 recorded that God created all things in the beginning. Psalm 83:18 recorded the name of God is Jehovah

Let us see how Jehovah helped Joseph to be successful and how He can help you.

The patriarch Jacob made it obvious that he loved his son Joseph very much. (Gen. 37:3, 4) As a result, Jacob’s older sons became jealous of their brother. When they saw an opportunity, they sold Joseph to a group of Midianite merchants. Those merchants took Joseph hundreds of kilometers away to Egypt, where he was sold once more—this time to Potiphar, chief of Pharaoh’s guards. How quickly Joseph’s life changed, from being his father’s dearly beloved son to being a lowly slave of an Egyptian!— Gen. 39:1. -- Source: JW.ORG

As reported in Genesis chapter 39, Potiphar’s wife was attracted to Joseph and repeatedly tried to seduce him. Each time, Joseph refused her advances. Finally, she became so angry with Joseph that she accused him of trying to rape her. (Read Genesis 39:14, 15.) When Potiphar heard of this, he threw Joseph into prison, where he remained for some years. (Gen. 39:19, 20). Joseph’s situation was going from bad to worse. He went from being a trusted slave to being a lowly prisoner.

Read Genesis 39:21-23. Even during this bleak period of imprisonment, Jehovah made Joseph successful. How? In time, Joseph gained the trust and respect of the chief officer, just as he had done with Potiphar. Before long, the chief officer put Joseph in charge of the other prisoners. In fact, the Bible says that “the chief officer of the prison was looking after absolutely nothing that was in Joseph’s care.” Joseph now had something to occupy his mind—productive work. What an unusual development! How could a prisoner who is accused of attempting to rape the wife of a court official be given such a trusted position? There is only one explanation. As Genesis 39:23 states, “Jehovah was with Joseph and Jehovah made whatever he did successful.”

What conclusion can we draw from the account of Joseph? Does Jehovah intervene in every situation we encounter? Does he maneuver every event in our life, so that all bad things that happen are for a good reason? No, the Bible does not support that view. (Eccl. 8:9; 9:11) However, we do know this: When we face a trial, Jehovah is aware of it and he hears our cries for help. (Ps. 34:15; 55:22; Isa. 59:1) More than that, Jehovah can help us to endure hardships successfully. How?

One way that Jehovah helps us is by providing comfort and encouragement, often just at the right time. (2 Cor. 1:3, 4)

Normally when you are in stressful or in times of trouble, for example you have trouble in your health, emotion, mental, relationship, and finance. You feel you are tired out and no strength to continue. What you feel was already recorded in the Bible, did you know that? Jehovah let king Solomon recorded it in Proverbs 24:10 In times of distress or in times of troubles you feel less strength or tired out to continue.
At time of distress or trouble you should always pray to Jehovah for strength or power not to tire out and Jehovah is telling you, he will give you strength and power. Read Isaiah 40:29

Remember Apostle Paul, he recorded his personal experience how Jehovah gives him power so he will not tire out to continue doing God's will of preaching and teaching the good news. Read Phillipians 4:13

Finally ask Jehovah to give you his holy spirit Luke 11:13 How do you know that you receive God's holy spirit? There should be evidence or fruitage of God's spirit that you can see for yourself personally. For example, evidence that you receive God's holy spirit after prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.Read Phillipians 4:6-7

Read Galatians 5:22-23 You should expect to receive from Jehovah personally for you as being love by him because he gives you power to endure and continue doing his will, you will experience the joy while under stressful situation, peace while under distress, kindness to forgive your personal past mistakes and mistakes of others, goodness doing what is good in Jehovah's standard of what is good or bad , faith that in due time or in Jehovah's time all your works will become successful, mildness accepting unforeseen events happens to everybody so be humble, and self-control do not be hasty in making decision that leads to poverty or unnecessary hardship.

Often, it is only after we look back on a hardship that we see how Jehovah helped us get through it. At the end of each day, ask yourself: ‘In what way did I see Jehovah’s blessing today? Although the trial is still running its course, how is Jehovah helping me to endure?’ See if you can identify at least one blessing from Jehovah that has made you successful.

King Hezekiah was another example in Bible times that Jehovah gives success in everything he do because he do what was right in Jehovah's eyes.
2 Chronicles 32:27-30

You must keep your obligation to Jehovah your God by walking in his ways and by observing his statutes, his commandments, his judgments, and his reminders as they are written in the Law of Moses; Then you will succeed in everything you do and everywhere you turn

18 This is what I have seen to be good and proper: that one should eat and drink and find enjoyment for all the hard work at which he toils under the sun during the few days of life that the true God has given him, for that is his reward.
19 Also, when the true God gives a man riches and material possessions along with the ability to enjoy them, he should take his reward and rejoice in his hard work. This is the gift of God
20 For he will hardly notice the passing days of his life, because the true God keeps him preoccupied with the rejoicing of his heart - Ecclesiastes 5:18-20

Jesus recommended another approach: Pray sincerely and without any desire to be praised by onlookers. The result? “Your Father who looks on in secret will repay you.” (Matt. 6:5, 6) Source: JW.ORG

Today, people feel a sense of accomplishment when they receive praise and admiration from their peers. It is a barometer to measure the worthiness of their labors. But Jehovah’s servants are different. Like Bezalel and Oholiab, we find contentment in doing Jehovah’s will and having his approval.

In Jehovah’s organization today, the animators, artists, musicians, photographers, translators, and writers all work anonymously. In that sense, no one “sees” what they do. The same could be said of much of the work being done in the more than 110,000 congregations worldwide. Who sees the accounts servant fill out needed paperwork at the end of the month? Who looks on when the secretary prepares the congregation field service report? Who observes the brother or sister who makes a necessary repair at the Kingdom Hall?

At the end of their life, Bezalel and Oholiab had no trophies, medals, or plaques to show for their brilliant designs and quality construction. But they had obtained something far more valuable—Jehovah’s approval. We can be sure that Jehovah noticed their work. May we imitate their example of humble and willing service.

Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man Source: JW.ORG

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. 14 For the true God will judge every deed, including every hidden thing, as to whether it is good or bad.
